Bless - is the Creator & Co-Founder of Bless Me Video. Bless was born and raised in Flatbush Brooklyn. Bless grew up with a love of music and was in the game for over 30 years. He started out writing rhymes, playing instruments, making beats, arranging and composing songs. His first job in the music industry was as a crate carrier for the World's Famous Supreme Team back in 1980 at WBAI in NY. In 1983 Bless won a distribution deal from a talent contest and released a song overseas in London called "Rap Me". While working as a crate carrier for the Supreme team Bless was asked to be a part of the Classic Hip Hop song "Hey DJ" released in 1984 as the Street DJ. In 1989 MC Bless was cast in Hip Hop’s first musical entitled "Club XII" the hip-hop version of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Also cast in this production by Big Beat records was Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and MC Lyte to name a few. This then propelled Bless to begin touring with the group X-Clan. Bless also hosted a classic Hip Hop Radio show in Richmond Virginia which aired on 99.5 /102.7 The Box – RVA’s Home For Classic Hip Hop during the 2000’s. Bless was also Ambassador & Motivational Speaker for Directions of Our Youth across high schools in New York City. All of these opportunities enabled him to build a network of invaluable relationships with executives, producers, record labels, A&R’s and musicians in the music industry in NYC. Bless returned to the essence in 2008 leaving his son the VidKid to take over Bless Me Video and carry on his legacy and love of Hip Hop!!!
History...
In the 90's when the East Coast/West Coast hip hop wars were happening… Bless a certified TV producer and Videographer Felt that there was a need to bring back hip hop to it’s birthplace, with the help of his wife "Diana" co-founder, silent partner and also a certified producer in June 1993 BLESS ME VIDEO (BMV) was created to give shine to underground artists. The TV show was created to document the Hip Hop, R&B & Dancehall artist and culture in the New York area. The popularity of the show spread to other states such as PA ,CA, VA,CT, DC, FL, LV, MD, NC, and SC. Bless Me Video is the first & only live Hip Hop video show out of NY on public access.
BMV has interviewed thousands of artists and produced over 1,000 shows over the last 27 years and still going strong. The only interactive video show in NYC where you can talk to the host with guests and celebs that stop by on a weekly basis. We are the blue print for most of the tv shows here in New York, and helped start the careers of many of the artists here in the tri-state area. BMV is the first Hip Hop TV show ever to cover the behind the scenes of Music Videos before MTV or BET. We are the catalyst that bridged artist in our communities by giving them a platform to showcase their talents, follow their careers in the hip-hop arena with the best of the best in this business. BMV is also known for its two youngest TV host in hip hop history "The Vid Kid & Andrea: (Silent Partner) who have been around the industry since they was both just months old and literally raised up in the Golden Era of Hip hop culture.
